We’re excited to share something new with you: the very first printed edition of Burnley ViewPoint.

If you haven’t come across us before, Burnley ViewPoint is an online magazine dedicated to platforming the people, voices, and stories of Burnley. Our goal is simple: to create a space that reflects the creativity, spirit, and heart of our communities—without the noise of clickbait or misleading headlines.

And now, for the first time, we’ve taken those stories into print.

Inside this launch issue you’ll find:

  • Poetry inspired by our mill heritage – written by local writers and created through our work with Queen Street Mill Young Creatives.
  • A look ahead to Burnley’s Year of Culture 2027 – and why it’s something to get excited about.
  • An interview with local musician Jammy – sharing insights and inspiration from Burnley’s music scene.
  • Photography by Nick Seddon, a member of our creative team, who also features in a profile piece in the magazine.
  • An introduction to Burnley Writers Group – for anyone feeling inspired to pick up the pen and start writing themselves.

This printed edition is just a taste of what we’re building with Burnley ViewPoint online: a place where the stories that matter most to us can be told and shared.

The Burnley ViewPoint magazine is part of the Burnley Words Festival, made possible with support from Arts Council England and the Shared Prosperity Fund, with Culturapedia delivering the festival in partnership with Burnley Leisure & Culture.
